Celebrity animal lovers are preparing for the green carpet event of
the year to award, applaud and acknowledge animal rescue centres
who work tirelessly to improve health and welfare for Britain's
abandoned animals.
Hosted by Wendy Turner-Webster for the third year, the awards are
being held at the Jumeriah Carlton Tower Hotel, Knightsbridge,
London on Friday 9th March 2012. Founded by not-for-profit
organisation Wetnose Animal Aid, the annual Burgess Wetnose Animal
Rescue Awards, recognise the valuable and endless work of small,
independent rescue centres do in caring for and rehoming abandoned
and unwanted animals in the UK and overseas.
Wetnose Animal Aid is delighted Zoflora and other brands are
sponsoring the awards this year. Andrea Gamby-Boulger, founder of
Wetnose said: "Zoflora products are perfect for all pet owners and
are also affordable. More companies need to get behind UK Rescue
Centres and help support them in these troubled times, it's a real
pleasure to see Zoflora helping Wetnose in this way".
The awards honour the 'Best Rescue Centres' for categories such as
small animals (rabbits, guinea pigs and chinchillas), cats, dogs,
horses and wildlife. Headline sponsor Burgess Pet Care, one of the
UK's leading producers of pet food, also give out awards for the
Best Rescue Centre, Best Rescue Story and the Best Rescue
Pet.
